Ingredients:
1/2 cup gum base
1/4 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon glycerin
1 teaspoon bubble gum flavoring
1/4 teaspoon citric acid (for tanginess)
Edible glow-in-the-dark food coloring or glow powder
Edible glitter (optional)
Directions:
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the gum base in 30-second intervals until it is fully melted, stirring between intervals.
Once melted, add the corn syrup and glycerin to the gum base. Mix well until fully combined.
Add the bubble gum flavoring and citric acid. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
If using glow-in-the-dark food coloring, add a few drops to the mixture and stir well. If using glow powder, follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how much to add to achieve the desired glow effect. Optionally, add edible glitter for extra sparkle.
Dust a clean surface with powdered sugar and transfer the gum mixture onto it. Knead the mixture with your hands, adding more powdered sugar as needed, until it becomes smooth and pliable.
Roll the gum mixture into thin ropes and cut them into small pieces or desired shapes using a knife or scissors.
Allow the pieces to cool and harden for about 30 minutes.
Store the glow-in-the-dark bubble gum in an airtight container. For the best glowing effect, expose the gum to light before enjoying it in the dark.
