Ingredients:

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or your preferred cut), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Season the Steak and Shrimp:
In a large bowl, season the steak pieces with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, lightly season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and a splash of lemon juice.

2. Cook the Steak Bites:
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak bites in a single layer, taking care not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until they are nicely browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set them aside.

3. Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside with the steak.

4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
Lower the heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in a splash of lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

5. Combine and Serve:
Return the cooked steak bites and shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce until well coated. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Helpful Tips:

  • Don’t Overcook the Shrimp: Cook the shrimp just until they turn pink to ensure they stay tender.
  • Add a Kick: For a spicy touch, sprinkle in red pepper flakes or drizzle with your favorite hot sauce.
