Ingredients
Scale
- 200g pasta (any type)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 300g beef strips
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 250g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta
- Prepare the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until they soften and release a fragrant aroma.
- Add the Mushrooms
- Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned and tender, about 5 minutes.
- Make the Sauce
- Pour in the beef broth, scraping any browned bits from the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, then simmer until the sauce thickens, around 5 minutes.
- Combine Everything
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, mixing it well with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until well-coated.
- Serve
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm.
