Easy Pecan Bars with a Buttery Crust

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare Pie Crust
    • Roll out each refrigerated pie crust and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking pan, covering the entire surface.
  3. Mix the Filling
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Gently fold in the pecan halves until they are evenly coated.
  4. Assemble and Bake
    • Pour the pecan filling over the prepared pie crust in the pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  5. Cool and Serve
