Sweet and Savory Baked Pears with Feta and Cranberries

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped walnuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Pears: Cut the pears in half and core them.
  3. Fill the Pears: Fill the core cavity of each pear half with a mixture of feta cheese and dried cranberries.
  4. Drizzle and Bake: Drizzle the pears with olive oil and place them in a baking dish, cut-side up. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pears are tender and the cheese is melted.
  5. Finish: Remove the pears from the oven. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped walnuts, if desired.
