Pizza Crust:
- 1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Sausage Gravy:
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- ½ teaspoon dried sage
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Toppings:
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs, cooked over easy
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 12-inch round pizza pan. - Prepare the Crust:
Press the biscuit dough into the prepared pizza pan, shaping it into a crust. Brush the dough with olive oil. - Bake the Crust:
Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes, or until it turns lightly golden. Allow it to cool slightly. - Make the Sausage Gravy:
In a large skillet, cook the crumbled breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and cook for 1 minute while stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue cooking until the gravy thickens, about 5 minutes. Stir in the dried sage, black pepper, and salt. - Assemble the Pizza:
Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the pre-baked pizza crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the gravy, then gently place the cooked over-easy eggs on top. - Bake the Pizza:
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown. - Cool and Serve:
Let the pizza cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
