Perfectly Seasoned Broiled Shrimp

  • 12 shrimp, peeled, deveined, and cooked
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Preheat the broiler to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp
    Place the cooked shrimp in a mixing bowl. Drizzle the canola oil over the shrimp. Cover the bowl and gently shake until the shrimp are evenly coated with oil.
  3. Mix the Spices
    In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper, thyme leaves, and oregano. Stir until the spices are well blended.
  4. Season the Shrimp
    Add the spice mixture to the shrimp bowl. Cover the bowl again and gently shake until the shrimp are uniformly coated with the spices.
  5. Broil the Shrimp
    Arrange the shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Broil for approximately 10 minutes or until the shrimp are heated through and show slight charring.
  6. Serve
    Serve the shrimp warm with lemon wedges for added zest and brightness.
