Hearty Beef Dip: A Crowd-Pleasing Appetizer

  • ½ pound lean ground beef
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 pound processed cheese, cubed
  • ¾ cup salsa
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 tablespoons milk (optional)
  • Taquitos for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Taquitos:
    If using, cook taquitos according to package directions.
  2. Brown Beef and Onion:
    In a large pan, brown the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add Cheese and Spices:
    Add the cubed processed cheese, salsa, cumin, and chili powder to the pan. Reduce the heat to low and stir until everything is melted and well combined.
  4. Stir in Cheddar Cheese:
    Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and milk (if using) until smooth.
  5. Serve:
    Serve the dip warm, accompanied by taquitos or your favorite dippers.
