Decadent Layered Fudge: A Chocolate Lover’s Dream

Fudge Layer:

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup butter

Chocolate Layer:

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Coconut Pecan Topping:

  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 large egg yolk, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Make Fudge Layer: Melt chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Pour into a parchment-lined 8×8 inch pan. Refrigerate.
  2. Make Chocolate Layer: Melt milk chocolate chips, condensed milk, and vanilla. Pour over set fudge layer. Refrigerate.
  3. Make Topping: Combine evaporated milk, sugar, butter, egg yolk, and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool slightly.
  4. Assemble: Spread topping over chocolate layer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Cut and Serve: Cut into squares and enjoy!

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
  • Let the topping cool slightly before spreading to avoid melting the layers.
