Decadent Banana Cream Cheese Swirl Muffins

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 5 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Prep Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Make the Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, milk, flour, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  4. Assemble the Muffins: Spoon banana batter halfway into each liner. Top with cream cheese filling, then cover with remaining banana batter. Swirl with a toothpick.
  5. Bake and Cool: Bake for 22-24 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
