Creamy Beef and Provolone Pasta Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 lb pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions/Directions:

Cook the Pasta:

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables:

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Brown the Beef:

  1. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.

Create the Creamy Sauce:

  1. Reduce the heat to low and add cream cheese to the skillet, stirring until melted and combined.
  2. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring until the mixture is smooth and heated through.
  3. Stir in the shredded provolone cheese until fully melted and incorporated.

Season and Combine:

  1. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is well coated with the creamy beef sauce.

Serve:

  1. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy the cheesy goodness!
