Cozy Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea

  • 2 black tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)

Notes

 

  1. Steep the Tea
    • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags, allowing them to steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.
  2. Warm the Milk
    • While the tea is steeping, warm the milk in a separate saucepan over medium-low heat, making sure it doesn’t come to a boil. Add the honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon, whisking until fully combined.
  3. Combine Tea and Milk
    • Remove the tea bags from the steeped tea and slowly pour the brewed tea into the milk mixture, stirring gently to blend.
  4. Serve
    • Pour the tea into a mug, and if desired, garnish with a cinnamon stick for extra flavor and a lovely presentation.
