For the Cheesecake Filling:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
For the Egg Rolls:
- 10–12 egg roll wrappers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Caramel Dipping Sauce (optional):
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Make Cheesecake Filling: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla and sour cream.
- Assemble Egg Rolls: Place a wrapper diamond-shaped. Add filling to the center. Fold bottom corner over filling, then sides, and roll up tightly. Seal with water.
- Heat Oil: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan or fryer.
- Fry Egg Rolls: Fry a few egg rolls at a time for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: Mix sugar and cinnamon. Roll warm egg rolls in the mixture.
- Serve: Serve warm with caramel sauce (optional).
