A Crispy and Flavorful Treat
Prep the Onions: Peel and slice onions into petals, leaving the root end intact.
Make the Batter: Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Whisk together eggs and milk in a separate bowl.
Bread the Onions: Dip onion petals in flour mixture, then egg wash, and finally panko breadcrumbs.
Air Fry: Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place breaded onions and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Make the Dipping Sauce: Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
